One month down and eleven months to go! Is it just me or does time seem to fly by faster as you get older? I am almost positive that last January did not go be as fast as last month did. Maybe it had something to do with the vacation we took at the beginning of the month. So how are you doing on your resolutions? Did you accomplish everything that you wanted to in January? In case you missed it, here is a look at how I did on my goals for January.
As much fun as I had in January, I am ready to buckle down and get it done. Wow! That sounded a little bit more determined than I originally thought. I have decided that February is going to be the month when I actually start to get things done. That seems a bit strange to say when it is the second month of the year and I started working towards my goals last month. I wasn’t really able to accomplish everything that I wanted to. I wasn’t as successful at my goal’s for last month as I would have liked. A lot of my goals for February are the same because I want to continue towards my ultimate goals.
Health + Fitness: Run 80 miles. Incorporate more yoga and core work.
Blogging: Be consistent and engaging.
Photography: Complete a daily photo challenge.
Life: Get organized.
My health and fitness goal should be difficult but also one that I can accomplish. Running 80 miles would require an average of 20 miles per week. With the Glass Slipper Challenge at the end of the month, I should be able to accomplish it my mileage goal. I have worked out a training plan that should help me reach my goal as long as I follow it. I also want to spend some time focusing on my core and my yoga practice. My core is one of my weakest areas. In order to become a better (and faster) runner, I need to spend some serious time building up the strength in my core. My yoga practice has been an area of my fitness routine that is the most neglected and I really do miss it. I may not be able to practice daily but I can make sure that I am making to time to add it back into my routine.
The rest of my goals are the exact same as last month. However, I really want to make a better effort at fulfilling them this month. My blogging goal is one that I have been struggling with for quite some time. I know that what type of blog I want to write and I know what it will take to get there. My problem has been with the execution of what I need (and want) to do. Hopefully, I will be a little more successful at checking things off of my endless to do list.
My photography goal is similar to last month but with a little twist. Some days last month, I really struggled with creative inspiration and I had no idea what I wanted to take a picture of. Rather than dealing with more of those days, I am going to play along with the #FMSphotoaday daily photo challenge. I have attempted this challenge many times before but I am feeling pretty positive about this month. You can follow along with me on Instagram.
My life is still very unorganized and I really want to work on changing that. I want to make some progress towards getting the home office set up and ready to use. I also want to start purging stuff that Pete and I are no longer using or need. We still have quite a few duplicate items in our house that are taking up valuable space.
