Hello friends! I can't believe that the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend is finally here. It feels like I was just registering for this race only yesterday. I am not quite sure how excited that I really am about this year's race. While I absolutely love this race, there is a rather strong chance of rain during the race and I am not exactly thrilled about that. While running in the rain can be alright, I am afraid that I might get sick since the rain is part of the cold front that is moving through.
What are your plans for the weekend? Besides running yet another half marathon, I am spending the weekend hanging out with my family at Walt Disney World. Last night, we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Today is all about relaxing at the hotel though. I don't really like doing too much during the day of a night race. I want to save my legs as much as possible today so that I can rock the race tonight. Maybe if I have a positive attitude the weather will hold off until after I am done running. Tomorrow, I think we are going to go into one of the parks before heading home.
The other I was asked how the wedding planning was going. My simple answer was “what wedding planning?”. We have been so busy lately that Pete and I haven't done a darn thing towards our wedding. I will say that we have started to save money for it but that is about it. I will say that our crazy lives has actually made a Disney wedding a lot more appealing. The fact that they do most of the grunt work in terms of organizing all of the vendors is a HUGE benefit to me. I think Pete has already decided that we are having a Disney wedding. I guess I am the one that needs to come around.
Since we have shifted our focus to saving as much as possible, checking places off of our travel bucket list has been put on hold. We both love traveling so not going on any awesome vactions in the next two years is a little disheartening. We have so many places that we still want to visit. On the top of our list is New York, Boston, Seattle, and Ireland. Pete has already decided that he wants to go to Ireland for the honeymoon and I couldn't be more excited. I have always wanted to go to Europe. Hopefully, that trip will be the first of many trips across the pond.
