Is it really the end of the weekend already? I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked to because I spent most of it in the office. We have a bunch of submittals coming up in the next few weeks and we are a little behind schedule. I could totally use a break from these crazy project submittals and grab a cup of coffee. How about you?
Lately, I can’t seem to get enough of regular brewed coffee with a splash of almond milk. That has been my standard morning coffee. I just wish that Starbucks would start carrying almond milk instead of soy milk. When I walk across the street for my afternoon cup of coffee, I usually end up with a splash of soy milk, which adds a different flavor to my coffee. With pumpkin back in season, I have been known to add a pump of the pumpkin spice syrup to my coffee. So yummy!
At the beginning of the year, I decided that I didn’t really want to set monthly goals and that I would focus on my goals for the year. In the last few months, I have realized that hasn’t been working for me as much as I wanted it too. I have lost sight of what my long term goals are and have been focusing on the little things that ultimately don’t matter in the long run. With the end of the year right around the corner, I am in desperate need of a change. I really do need to get back on track with my health and fitness goals if I am going to survive my big races coming up. So I have decided that the month of October is all about finding my way back to my happy place.
Even though I am crazy nervous about my big races coming up, I am thrilled that we are coming the end of another year. I absolutely love this time of year. Spending some quality time with family, the upcoming holiday season, and consuming copious amounts of pumpkin are some of my favorite things about this time of year. Oh and the weather is FINALLY starting to feel pleasant enough to run outside on the weekends. I am not sure I will be venturing on any new trail adventures but I am excited to not feel tethered to the treadmill. Pete and I are also going on a cruise in December that should be amazing. Is it normal to be counting down the days already?
How did your weekend go? Have you sticking to your goals for the year or do you need to reset?
