Previous Weeks of the LiveFit Trainer program:
Last week was one of the hardest weeks for me so far. The workouts weren’t any harder than they were during the previous weeks. I was ready for the soreness because I had already done the same workouts the week before. The hardest part for me was the mental issue. With the start of baseball season, I lost my workout buddy for the entire week. A busy week at work, no workout buddy, and no visible changes really messed with my desire to keep at the LiveFit Trainer program. Nevertheless, I kept at it and finished all of my workouts for the week.

Since our legs were still pretty sore on Monday, Pete and I decided to switch up the order of our workouts a bit. It felt a little strange to be doing the Back and Biceps workout on Monday instead of Tuesday but it was the best decision for how our bodies felt. On Tuesday, I decided to join the FitFluential April Abs challenge by doing a plank every single day during the month of April. Having a strong core is one of the things that I am really hoping will help me improve my running. On Wednesday, I headed to my favorite yoga studio, Yogani, for the monthly Yin Yoga for Athletes workshop. This class was a perfect fix for relieving some of the lingering tightness I have been experiencing from all of the strength training.
By the time Thursday rolled around, I was completely exhausted and really considered not going to the gym. Then I remembered that Pete was actually one workout ahead of me in the program and I didn’t want to get any further behind him. Friday was still a struggle for me to make it the gym and my workout suffered. I just didn’t have the energy that I wanted to.
After my workout on Saturday, I hit a total mental wall and I was ready to throw in the towel on the LiveFit Trainer program. Despite having worked really hard the past five weeks, I haven’t seen the scale move at all or really seen any noticeable changes. I was really hoping that this program would have helped me break out of my weight loss plateau and start seeing the scale move in the right direction. After 5 weeks of no change, I was feeling really disheartened. When I talked to Pete about my concerns, he assured me that is seeing a difference in my body’s composition. He even helped me take my end of Phase I measurements to prove his point. I was shocked to see that I have lost more than an inch around my waist and that my body fat is almost 2%!
How did your workouts go last week? Do you struggle with mental walls while following training programs/plans?
