Happy Holidays everyone! How did you spend your holidays? After spending the week of Christmas in North Carolina visiting my boyfriend’s mother, we ended up having a really low key New Year’s. He had to work on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day so we didn’t do anything wild or crazy. We stayed home and watched the ball drop before going to sleep.
During the holidays, I always spend way too much time analyzing the past year. I have a tendency to be overly critical on myself. I always linger on the bad things and I never really take the time to reflect on the good. For instance, I would say that I failed miserably at every single goal I set in 2013. I only ran 424 miles when my goal was 1000. However, I did complete my first full marathon and ran 16 races. My other big goal was to finally get down to my goal weight, which didn’t happen at all. On the other hand, I also didn’t gain any weight. I may not be any closer to my goal but at least I am not further away.
Even though I didn’t really achieve any of my goals, last year was a year filled with some amazing adventures. My boyfriend and I traveled to Washington, DC and California. We visited Disneyland for the first time and we were on The Price Is Right (photos and story). We spent Christmas in North Carolina. We also made excellent use of our Walt Disney World Annual Passes. Oh and I passed my professional exam … finally.
Over the last two weeks, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I want in 2014. What do I want to focus on? What do I want to accomplish? Where do I want to go? Who do I want to be at the end of the year? In the end, I decided that 2014 is going to be best year ever! I am ready to find my happy place where everything clicks together. I am ready to become the person that I have always dreamed of being … inside and out. I am ready to make 2014 the best year of my life. My resolutions for 2014 are make the year amazing and achieve my goals!
