I seriously can’t believe that we are halfway through September already! Where has this year gone?!? I am taking a short break from my California vacation recaps to share another fun event that the Tampa Bay Rays are hosting. My Disneyland 10k Race Recap will be posted this weekend.
Each year, when September rolls around, I know that the regular baseball season is coming to an end. For years, my Tampa Bay Rays never had a record good enough to compete in October baseball for a shot at the World Series. That all changed in the 2008 season. During that magical season, I finally understood what October baseball was all about. Of course, I also met Pete that season but that is another story. (I am just waiting for the perfect time to tell it …)
Throughout this season, the Tampa Bay Rays have hosted some pretty amazing special events. There was the Renew Your Vows event, where couples were able to say “I Do” again on the field after a game. It was quite an amazing event from I what I have heard. There was also the Yoga at the Trop event, which was probably one of my favorite events of the season. I loved being able to practice yoga on the field before watching the Rays take on the Chicago White Sox.
As the regular season comes to a close, the Rays are hosting quite a few special events during the last home stand. One of those special events is Fitness Night at the Trop. With the purchase of a special ticket, you will have the chance to watch the Rays take on the Texas Rangers and you will receive a Rays workout shirt. This is a great opportunity to cheer on the Rays as they try to secure their spot in October baseball. The energy of the final games of the regular season are always intense!
