Hey guys! Can you believe that it is Friday already?!? I am pretty sure that time really does start to fly faster as you get older. This week has been one of those weeks where I wish that time would really slow down. As I attempt to focus on being more mindful, I am hoping that I will find ways to stop on smell the roses.
So who is ready for a coffee or wine break? Since it is later in the evening when I am posting this, I think that wine is totally fine. I have my coffee mug wine glass in hand and I ready to chat. Go grab you drink of choice and let’s talk!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you a story about one of the strangest things my boyfriend has ever done. Last weekend, we went to Target for a few things and we ended up leaving with way more than we needed. Seriously though, who doesn’t do that? One of the extra items we purchased was this Bodum French Press (<— affiliate link). Despite talking about wanting a French press for quite some time now, my boyfriend has been resistant to making a change in our coffee habit.
About two months ago, we discovered the Clover machine at Starbucks that is more than 20 minutes out of our way. The Clover machine is a reverse French press machine that makes absolutely delicious coffee. So last weekend, my boyfriend decided that he wanted to be able to make French pressed coffee more frequently.
When we got home from Target, he immediately opened the box and started cranking away at making a pot of coffee. He ground the coffee, heated the water and set the timer. When the coffee was ready, he poured a cup and fixed it up the way he likes. After he took his first sip, he unplugged our regular coffee maker and proceeded to throw it out. He didn’t just put it in the kitchen trash. He walked it outside to the curbside garbage can. When I asked what he was doing, he said that he would never drink sub-par coffee again.
By the way, I have been telling him about how delicious French press coffee is for a very long time. It was one of the first things I ever learned when I worked at Starbucks. It only took him 4+ years to listen to me …
So what is something strange that your significant other has done recently?
