It can’t possibly be August already! I haven’t started freaking out about the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge yet so there is no possible way that it is August. Ok I take that back. I am completely freaking out. How is it possible that in exactly 4 weeks my boyfriend and I will be boarding a plan to LAX?!?!? This will be our trip to California and we have a bunch of fun things planned. (I will share our plans as we get closer to our trip.)
Since it is the beginning of a new month, that means it is time to set some new goals. I have been a little disappointed with myself in June and July mostly because I haven’t been keeping up with my goals. I am not going to promise that I will succeed at all of my August goals. I will promise that I am going to work harder at achieving them.
My Monthly Goals for August:
1. Practice yoga once a week. Yoga is something that is missing from my life. My plan is start small and really make my practice intentional. I would love to practice every single day but I am focusing on starting small.
2. Be more mindful. I want to be more mindful of everything I do. I have felt like a fish out of water for a very long time because I am doing the things that are expected of me. I am not being mindful of the things that I truly want to do and enjoy doing.
3. Finish my training plan strong. Like I said above, I only have a month before I will be running the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge. Based on how my training has been going, I know that I can’t expect to do 100% of my planned workouts. I can expect to put in as much effort as possible in order to have the best race possible.
4. Rock the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge. When all is said and done, I will be running the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge at the end of this month. I will be running a 10k on Saturday morning followed by a half marathon on Sunday morning. While I am nervous, I do know that I can do this!
